The mastermind behind Zen Arbitrage is Peter Valley, an Amazon seller for over a decade. He is the world’s “most published author on Amazon selling.” He built Zen Arbitrage with one goal in mind: To run an Amazon business from anywhere in the world.

If you’re a member of Zen Arbitrage, you actually get to work hand-in-hand with Peter himself, as he provides his personal cell phone number to Zen Arbitrage members as well as invite them to a private Facebook group to discuss concerns.

It’s quite easy to understand the process behind Zen Arbitrage, but does it actually work? Let’s find out.

REQUIREMENTS

Before registering for Zen Arbitrage, I took a look at their web page. Included there was a trove-full of information on what the automation was, how it started, and most importantly the steps you need to take before starting your business. 

What I personally liked about the information that they shared is that they want to make the process as easy as possible so that you can jump right onboard. They answered common questions and laid out all the necessary features you need to keep your online book arbitrage running smoothly, with a bunch of other bonus goodies you’ll be able to access once you’re a member. Another thing you need is a FBA (Fulfilment by Amazon) Account. There are two (2) options. The first option is Individual, which is free of charge. With the Individual plan, you are expected to pay $0.99 per sale. If you are just starting out and just want to explore the basics, I suggest you go for the Individual FBA plan. The second option is Professional, which costs $39.99 per month. If you expect to sell more than 40 units per month, you will not pay the $0.99 cost per sale if you choose the Professional FBA plan.

Zen Arbitrage will ask for your email address and will ask you to create a password in order to register. After which, you can login and begin your online arbitrage business.

Upon first glance of their website, it’s filled with a lot of tabs and tables that I could not understand. I immediately clicked on “Training/Support” where I was directed to a page filled with links to what I wanted to learn that was related to the business. I explored the website and found a lot of training videos and downloadable materials. You have the option to join a Quickstart Webclass that takes 90 minutes to complete, or if you want to go at a slower pace, there are six (6) separate beginner training videos (that total up to three (3) hours). Nevertheless, it’s your choice on which to pick for your own convenience.

The beginner training videos comprise of the following:

1. Understand the Process

In this overview, the workflow is provided so that you have a visual of the process of how to go about things. There’s also an optional video you can watch that takes 22 minutes. This video walks you through on how to set up an FBA (Fulfillment by Amazon) Account, which is one of the only things you need to start an online arbitrage business. In Part Three, Peter walks us through on how to use Zen Arbitrage. He goes over the search options and every single feature of the automation. The video is about 55 minutes long, and is more straightforward than I expected.

Peter shares ten tips and tricks on how you can make great sales with Zen Arbitrage. The video takes about 20 minutes to finish, and I was able to nab some helpful pointers that made me rethink my strategy in purchasing the right books.

6. Sample Search Formulas to Begin

In Part Six, the video lasts about 14 minutes. In this tutorial, Peter gives some sample formulas for everyone (not just beginners) to use so that they have an easier experience with the automation.

7. Understanding the BookLeads Marketplace

In this last tutorial, I learned how the other users are able to search for books and publish it in the Zen Arbitrage BookLeads Marketplace for a price so that other users can take advantage of these leads. It’s another small way to make money within the automation and I find that very helpful, especially to those who still might not know their way around the software.

I took my time in completing all these seven (7) videos and I can say that it was pretty fruitful. The information was given straight to the users without beating around the bush. It was also presented in a way that made everything easier to understand.

There are actually a lot more videos that you can access, so if you’re still feeling a bit lost then you can always refer to the rest of the resources on their website. Not only that, but you also have to pay for a FBA (Fulfillment by Amazon) Account (assuming you chose the Professional Plan), which is $39.99 per month. For someone who just started his business, these two combined might be a bit pricey. However, the profit that you’ll make will severely outweigh the costs.

All it really takes is some patience for you to get into the groove of how things work. If you have a full time job, this would be a good sideline for you to earn some cash if you have around 2-4 hours a day to spare. You can also look at this as a full-time opportunity to earn cash.

After all, one of the things that Zen Arbitrage prides itself in is the ability to work anywhere, any time as long as you’re connected to the internet.

In my opinion, the process of online book arbitration was made simpler and formed into a business that is very profitable. Peter Valley surely outdid himself in sharing his knowledge to others who share his love for running a business from the comfort of their homes and people who want to make more cash. He thought of everything to make things easier to understand, and became more innovative to generate as much income as possible for his members. One of my favorite features (and one of main ones that Zen Arbitrage prides itself on) is the automatic scanning of over 40 book-selling websites, which the automation then provides all the necessary information about that book.
